About Us

We are establishing a South West of England Chapter of the BABC; an exciting opportunity especially with the advent of direct flights to New York from Bristol International Airport.

Our Founder Members are busily promoting this new venture with the plan to become fully accredited to the BABC by the autumn of this year.

The South West of England is a dynamic and innovative business region and, with over 1200 overseas-owned businesses already established here, we know a little bit about international trade.

The North American market in particular is, and will continue to be, a major source of business for South West companies with bi-lateral trade worth in the order of £3Billion per annum. It is the largest non-EU market for South West of England products.

The important sectors in the economy of the South West are equally important for trans Atlantic trade and include Advanced Engineering, Financial Services, the Creative Industries, Bio and Environmental Technologies, Food & Drink, ICT, Nano & Micro Systems and the Marine sector. These sectors will form an important part of our South West Chapter.

We are in the process of putting together an initial events and networking programme for the year and full details will be posted soon.
